Salad Magazine Issue 3
Cover description

Three ink drawings of sparkling snails. The top snail is drawn in a semi-realistic style with blue glitter ink. It's moving through a puddle of slime. The middle snail is drawn in a realistic style with teal ink with red sheen and blue glitter. It holds its head up high because it's a dignified snail. The bottom snail is drawn in a simplified style in black ink with thick lines.

Letter from the editor

Welcome to the hot snail summer issue! We had a rather fortuitous combination of themes this time around with sparkling, ink, and snails. I've been having a lot of fun compiling the snubmissions (snail submissions). There are also some great takes on the other two themes.

Thanks to Owl and Curi for their contributions to the cover, which consists of some very literal sparkling ink snails! Draw a sparkling ink snail on your nearest piece of paper today.

The next issue

The next issue will be published in July with the themes parallel, miniature, murky, and hands. (4 themes because we had a tie! Wow!) If you've got any ideas, we'd love to have them! Check out the submission page for more information.
